At the frontier of global health, shape how AI is deployed to expand access to healthcare and increase health equity across Africa as the macro-eyes Global Health Program Manager
The Global Health Program Manager will execute macro-eyes global health programs. You will work closely with the macro-eyes Machine Learning team, led by a professor of machine learning at MIT, and our partners including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF, and USAID.
You will create transformative solutions the world has never seen. You will be a champion for bringing cutting edge machine learning to challenging real-world environments to solve foundational health problems: the first predictive supply chain for health, groundbreaking machine learning to understand demand for immunization, the ability to audit critical supply chains by simply taking a picture with a mobile phone. You will execute complex innovative projects and manage partnerships with governments and some of the most influential organizations in the world. You will have the full support of the macro-eyes leadership team and the most advanced AI in the world at your fingertips. You will be able to leverage our network of advisers that include renowned scientists and experts in AI (MIT, UCL, Imperial) and global healthcare leaders.
This is an entrepreneurial role. You must be able to compel a variety of partners (governments, private foundations, corporations), explain new technology, make things happen fast, and seize opportunity. The position is a blend of project manager, solutions architect, and business development requiring applied skills in global health, technology integration, partnership development, and aggressive operational excellence. This position requires the ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.

Program Execution. Lead the efficient execution of projects for Global Health division. Maintain and manage budget and timeline in accordance with donor and organizational expectations. Communicate clearly with macro-eyes leadership and engage appropriately across the organization to mitigate cost and achieve objects in a timely manner.
Advancing the field. Actively support adoption of machine learning technologies with collaborators and Ministry of Health partners in country. Participate in Ministry and country ideation process for advancing the use of insight in global health.
Communication. Develop and deploy program communication strategy to enable transparency within stakeholder group. Engage external audience in program activities, outcomes, and impacts as determined appropriate.
Strategy & Development. Articulate vision for machine learning solutions and the use of machine learning driven insight to drive decision making, building a case for innovation as a path toward health equity. Strive to align macro-eyes, donor, partners, and country objectives.
Standards & Interoperability. Design and execute implementations of technology in order to repeat and scale effort across the developing world. Always build with scale in mind to prepare for a future driven by machine learning technology. Document processes to generate a corpus of best practices that can be used to advance the mission of macro-eyes and the global health sector.
Monitoring & Evaluation. Design and execute programs to monitor impact of projects and technology solutions deployed by macro-eyes team. Develop reporting mechanisms to enable transparency for donors, partners, and larger global health community.
Workforce. Catalyze efforts to grow qualified global health staff. Identify internal needs for team growth, participate in the design and hire of global health division leaders and support team members.
5-10 years of experience in at least two of the following industries: Global health, supply chain management, health information systems, program management, management consulting with a health or global development focus, or equivalent information system design, development, and administration.
Graduate degree in public administration or business administration preferred.
Capable leader who has worked extensively in multi-national, multicultural environments bringing diverse groups together to achieve a common purpose with patience, grace and humility in low and middle income countries.
Demonstrated ability to compel different types of people in different contexts to undertake something new.
Experience with health information systems currently in use in the global health and development landscape (e.g., EMRs, LIS, HRIS, DHIS2).
Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) design a plus.
Excellent English oral, written, and presentation skills including evidence of quality proposal development, report writing, and presentations.
French language skills a plus.
Demonstrably strong analytical skills, including qualitative and quantitative analysis, enterprise architecture, IT architecture and systems analysis, and excellent deductive and inductive reasoning
Must be able to communicate effectively with both ICT professionals and health sector professionals and be able to facilitate communication between different stakeholders.
Understanding of the global health context including existing technology landscape.
Superior project management skills of virtual teams with demonstrated ability to manage budgets, funders, collaborate with partners, and coordinate implementation activities.
